MCNA Weekend Schools

About Us

Muslim Children of North America MCNA (Canada), is a project of ICNA Sisters Canada, a registered organization. It is an educational and community project for kids aged 5 to 12 years.

It started as a Friday Evening Classroom Program for children aged 5 to 12 to help them learn to live as practicing Muslims and to give them the necessary tools to play a positive role in the community. It has now become an extensive project which includes many extracurricular activities like Earth day participation, summer camps, and charity food drives. We have more than 4000 registered children all across Canada. These children are not only the future of Canada but also the future of the Muslim ummah.

We provide a safe and nurturing environment that fosters exemplary Islamic education. We place a great emphasis on quality Islamic education through the use of integrative teaching and delivery methods.

Our Mission Statement

“To seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) by educating our youth the true concept of Islam and to positively involve them in our community as confident believers according to the Quran and Sunnah.”

Our Goals

  1. To make our children exemplary Canadian Muslims.
  2. To make our children future Da’ee.
  3. To create an environment for children where they feel learning is fun, and where they feel welcomed regardless of where they are coming from.
  4. Provide them with supportive and caring relationships with other Muslim children and adults.
  5. Teach them skills necessary for positive integration with the mainstream community out of their comfort zone.
  6. Teach them the Book and the Wisdom to elevate their character.
  7. Involve parents in the process of education and training of their children.
  8. Inviting MCNA mothers to understand and work with ICNA sisters Canada.
